UbeSIM Android App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how UBESIM ("UbeSIM," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the UbeSIM native Android application (the "App").

This policy applies only to the Android App. If you use our website at ubesim.com, the website privacy policy at ubesim.com/policies/privacy-policy applies instead.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to sell, deliver, and support eSIM plans in the App.

Information you provide

Email address — entered at checkout or in Account to link orders on your device.
Sign in with Google (optional) — if you choose to sign in, Google may share your name and email. We store your Google user identifier and sign-in state on your device.
Support messages — if you contact us by email or WhatsApp.

Information collected automatically

Purchase and eSIM data — order numbers, plan names, package codes, ICCID, eSIM transaction numbers, usage/status from our eSIM provider, and install links needed to show and manage your eSIMs.
Payment confirmation — Stripe provides payment status and transaction identifiers. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Technical request data — basic API request metadata (e.g., timestamps) processed by our secure proxy when the App loads plans or completes purchases.
Push notification token (optional) — if you enable Service Alerts, we store a device token to send eSIM-ready, low-data, and expiry alerts.

Information stored on your device

Email address and optional Google sign-in details
Order history linked to your email on that device
App preferences needed for the App to function

2. What We Do Not Collect in the App

We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data.
We do not load the Shopify storefront inside the native App for browsing or checkout.
We do not collect precise location for tracking purposes.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

3. How We Use Information

Process payments and fulfill eSIM orders
Display your plans, usage, and install options in the App
Apply promo codes and show order history on your device
Send optional service alerts you enable in Account
Provide customer support
Prevent fraud and secure our services
Comply with law and enforce our terms

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App:

Stripe — payment processing (Google Pay and card payments)
eSIM Access — eSIM provisioning, activation, usage, and top-ups
Cloudflare — secure API proxy between the App and our backend services
Google — if you use Sign in with Google, Google Pay, or push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
Install link services — to open eSIM installation pages (e.g., esimqr.link)

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

5. Data Retention

On your device: until you delete account data in the App or remove the App.
Payment records: retained by Stripe according to Stripe's policies and legal requirements.
eSIM/order records: retained as needed for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, and accounting.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Delete account on device: Account → Delete Account removes sign-in state, email, and order history stored in the App on that Android device. Your active eSIMs remain installed and working.
Sign in: Optional. You can browse plans and purchase without signing in with Google.
Service Alerts: Optional. You can enable or disable push alerts in Account.
Contact us: You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we control by emailing us (see Contact below). Some records (e.g., payment/eSIM fulfillment) may be retained where required by law.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), app-to-server authentication, and reputable payment and eSIM providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. International Users

UBESIM is based in the United States. If you use the App from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. and by our service providers in other locations.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above. An updated copy may also be published at https://ubesim.com/pages/ubesim-android-app-privacy for reference outside the App.
